America is a Christian nation? Really? Someone who is telling Obama to read the consitution needs to get that guy a copy while their at it.

I'm willing to be 99% of the people at this rally voted for George W. Bush, the one who ACTUALLY put us in this situation and who ACTUALLY did things that were moving us towards tyranny.

But it doesn't really matter, the rally was a wash since someone managed to Godwin it.

Oh boy, do I EVER recgonize that view of Indio. I used to commute back and forth from Phoenix to LA quite a bit. And I agree wholeheartedly about the spooky mountains. I get the same creepy feeling everytime I look at the desert landscape through that area.

Okay, I am not Twitterized, and you have hiatus'ed [sp?/word?] BrendanLoy.com...but I really wanted to comment on Venus-Jupiter-Moon sky show.

I've been watching this skyly sparklyness for a couple nights based on your recommendation. What so impressed me is seeing how it changed SO much from last night;s vertical Venus-Jupiter positioning with the moon so low on the horizon to this night's shifted position of Venus-Jupiter.

It is the first time I have noticed a large angular movement of any *starkly* in the nighttime sky!

It's so beautiful....now I am trying to figure out how these planet's positions correlate to their orbital positions when looking perpendicularly down on the solar system.

Thank you so much, now I'm learning to watch to nighttime sky's 'show'.

ps. Didn't take the job in China....too much airborne pollution.

My owl comes by nightly at three hours past sunset to 'whooo-whoooooo' a greeting.

The night before Thanksgiving, a mouse [dead] left on my bedroom balcony railing.
A very owlish gift for the season!

To celebrate the mouse gift there is now a white owl on the top of this year's Christmas tree. [The mouse was donated to a needy cat....]

I'm amazed that I actually knew about the availability of something online that you didn't!

I will be keeping in contact, but I'm in the process of deciding whether to take a job in China. If I move it will change and limit my internet access, so I am delaying giving out information until I know what I will be doing.

I've enjoyed your blog et al. Amazing stuff. I've often wonder how much time you actually spend online daily.

LOL, Nadine. I had no idea that could be searched online.

Anyway, my Colorado law license is actually re-activated as of Friday. I saw them stamp the Status Change form with my own eyes. :) I guess the online database just hasn't been updated yet.

Thanks for the good luck wishes! I wish I knew how to keep in touch with you. :) But anyway, best of luck to you too, and I hope to see you again if/when I restart the blog.

I just discovered you blog today while looking up You-Tube videos and Wikipedia entries on the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem. I love their music -- as I have since first hearing it sometime in the 1960s. Some link brought me to your obituary of Tommy, which was very good.

Then I clicked on your photoblog and there was an entry about the Knoxville Photowalk. What a coincidence -- my daughter and I joined the one in Austin, TX. I didn't take any spectacular photos either but it was a fun activity in spite of that.

I'm bookmarking your blog and I'll visit again.
